BBQ, Bands and Bikes Festival

The Events Program for the City of Elizabethtown announces the return of the annual BBQ, Bands & Bikes for May 28, 2022. After a two-year cancelation, the City of Elizabethtown is excited to announce the return of the BBB Festival to downtown Elizabethtown on Saturday, May 28. With a slight name change, the festival will welcome all genres of music and highlight motorcycles all day in celebration of Memorial Day weekend. “We’ve been in the planning stages for months and excited to welcome back this beloved event to Etown,” said Events Program Manager, Sarah Vaughn. “We know this event will bring back the 20,000 or more people that it has always drawn since 2013 and couldn’t be more excited to see our downtown a buzz.”

The event will kick off with the annual Thunder into Etown Motorcycle Ride at the American Legion Hardin Post 113. Registration for the ride is required and is $25 per rider. Proceeds from this ride will benefit Crusade for Children. The American Legion will be selling breakfast on-site for bikers and attendees. The ride will conclude on Highway 62 and College Street and the motorcycles will be parking inside the festival zone on Dixie Highway, North and South Main Street, and participating parking lots.

The event will officially open to the public at 11:00 a.m. There will be three stages this year including the Metalsa Stage located at the State Theater parking lot; the second stage located in the Cherry parking lot off North Main Street; and new this year, the Etown Tourism stage located on Dixie Highway in front of the Courthouse on the Square. This stage will headline the Saturday evening concert, Resurrection, a Journey Tribute will take place at 9:00 p.m.

Vendors of all kinds will be lining the parking lots and streets downtown including over 45 food vendors. A map will released in early May highlighting the locations for food, commercial type vendors, sponsors and more. The Kid’s Zone sponsored by Southeast Christian Church and partnered with the Cecilian Bank, will open 12:00-5:00 and will be free to all with bounce houses, face painting, and more!
